Yakob Gerais (born in Transdalmata, Altadenica) was an elected official in the Dalmata district of the Altadenican Falando. He left Altadenica after the country collapsed into anarchy.

Early life[]

Gerais was born into an Unidante-speaking family living in the Transdalmata region of Altadenica. Of middle-class origin, Gerais could not initially afford his attendance at the University of Nova Riviera, but earned a prestigious full-ride scholarship for soccer. After graduating from UNR, Gerais traveled abroad and lived in Cielos, Silvermoon for some time.

Service in the Falando[]

After returning to Altadenica from Cielos, Gerais reestablished residency in Transdalmata and registered as a candidate for regional elections. Gerais lost three times before securing a seat in the mostly rural 3rd district of Transdalmata. During his time in office, Gerais voted to support Altadenican participation in the Valentine War.

Gerais married during his time in office.

Post-Falando[]

After the collapse of the Altadenican government, Gerais and his wife fled the country with two cousins from Tours and left, by boat, for Elysion, which had recently declared independence from Tugal and from Silvermoon. Gerais was ambushed by pirates, but he and his family successfully fended off the assaulters and carried on their voyage. When Gerais and his relatives reached Puerto Bonito, Elysionian police arrested him and his family on charges of espionage, but the group was released six months later. Gerais and his family settled in Puerto Gibralta thereafter.
